Ingersoll Lockwood, an American lawyer and writer, is particularly known today for his Baron Trump children's novels. Born on 2 August 1841, Lockwood passed away on 30 September 1918. In addition to the Baron Trump novels, he wrote other children's novels, a dystopian novel titled "1900: or; The Last President," a play, and several non-fiction works. Some of his non-fiction was published under the pseudonym Irwin Longman.
